The Manchester based Alternative four piece have been confirmed to play Preston's new venue 'Blitz' on the 28th of March next year. After the release of their critically acclaimed fourth studio album 'Sirens,' they are embarking on UK and European tour, with a late date in Preston. The London based publisher has acquired the rights to the first Arctic's biography, to be penned by DJ and music journalist Ben Osbourne. Queens of the Stone Age have revealed that ex-drummer and old-time friend Dave Grohl will be providing the rhythm for the next Queens album. Speaking to Zane Lowe on yesterdays BBC Radio show, Queens' singer Josh Homme told Zane the Foo Fighters frontman will be replacing the now departed Joey Castillo, who has been with the band since Lullabies to Paralyze. Grohl first made his debut for Queens of the Stone Age on 2002's 'Songs for the Deaf', and also played a part in video's for 'No One Knows' and 'Go With the Flow'. Ingenious Oxford five piece 'Foals' have announced the details of a their third studio album, 'Holy Fire', to be released February 2013. Yanis Philippakis has described the album as a move away from the "four to the floor, hi-hat, indie-disco stuff," adding that "it's swampy - some of the grooves are quite stinky." Although this statement can be interpreted in a number of ways, two things are certain.
